What I wish I could’ve easily found online when building - an explanation of why cast stone fireplaces are such a great option! First off, what is cast stone? A cast stone fireplace is a durable, fire-resistant, and, often more affordable, alternative to natural stone, crafted from a mixture of mineral aggregates, cement, and pigments poured into molds to resemble limestone or marble. They are:
• customizable
• durable
• more affordable
• looks like natural stone
I got mine through stonemountaincastings thanks to my builder havenhillhomes and I love it.

This living room needed a little love.
After removing the beams & changing the ceiling design, we went to work on updating the cabinets, shelves and fireplace.
Our clients are now happily cuddling up with their fireplace this winter.
